Until 2017....
Well - It's that time again where the FOA go into Hibernation until Mid - May. It's been a great year with loads of memories.
Only one rookie on FOA this year - Tracey Dyer. Just a group of 8 guys & 7 girls that truly care about each other. No individuals, just one team. Our co-MVP and Captain Paolo Mascarin kept the ship steered in the right direction. Our younger players - Greer Hunt & Anna Snow are becoming veterans; and our veterans - Peter Thompson & Rebecca Coffey kept on playing with a passion and consistency - second to none.
In 2016, FOA only gave up 56 points in 12 games. Short handed this summer - FOA's only sub was Clare Snow. Fellowship faced Young Guns for the 5th straight year in the finals. Team defense combined with strong intensity - gave FOA the edge.
This year was a difficult road to the finals. FoA finished 1st place overall having to defeat 3rd place Blackhose 2 times in the last week of the season. FOA and had the easier Semi final opponent, then facing a short-handed Young Guns. FOA had an amazing time celebrating that night - and to quote Peter Thompson "It should be illegal to have this much fun". Ryan Davis wins the "best at FOA Family Fued" award. Anna snow took home 4 awards including best offensive player & most improved. The song "The Cupid Shuffle" that had taken FOA by storm for 2012 was once again played Saturday night. Everyone, yes even our co-MVP of the season - danced the night away! Until 2017.
